BikePark Wales celebrates the coming of the light with amazing drone edit

BikePark Wales is just entering it’s third full summer season, in only a few short weeks the clocks will be rolling forwards and we can all emerge from our shells and get out and enjoy the great outdoors!

It’s time to get excited for your next visit to BikePark Wales so it’s a good time to tell you what’s been going on! In the first 2 1⁄2 year of operation the park has seen some substantial infrastructure projects and of course the addition of several new trails. In addition to the constant tweaks and improvements made to the existing trails by the now 7 strong trail crew, three new trails have been added since 23 August 2013. The A470 line the UK’s first ever full scale jump line, Terry’s Belly the longest blue descent in the UK and 50 Shades of Black a gritty and raw black DH trail. BikePark Wales is pleased to announce that a brand new rocky and technical red trail (the longest red trail in the park so far!) will also be opening on March 30th 2016, more to come on that soon!

In celebration of all that has been achieved so far and as a thanks to everyone who has visited to date the BikePark Wales team thought it would be a great idea to create a banger of a video edit to showcase the riding and facilities at the park. With the site being so extensive the use of drones was going to be the only way to emphasise the sheer scale of the 1200-acre playground. Tim Davies from Rediscover Media was hired and the BPW race team were drafted in for a 3 day shoot using three different drones as well as various hand held cameras. The skill (and courage!) of the drone pilots meant it was possible to fly drones below the canopy of the forest and capture some truly amazing shots. Take a look for yourself in the edit below!

2016 is set to be a great year for Bikepark Wales, with the addition of the new red trail in a few weeks time (bringing the total to 29 trails!), further expansion of the uplift coming online for Easter and additional facilities coming to the visitor centre, there has never been a better time to visit BikePark Wales.
