Fabric launches revolutionary cageless water bottle system

Fabric, creator of unique and world-first cycling products today releases its first water bottle. As you would expect from Fabric, this is no ordinary water bottle.

The Fabric Water Bottle revolutionises the hydration category by completely doing away with the need for a cage. This reduces weight, removes unnecessary parts, and improves the clean lines on the bike in one fell swoop.

The Fabric Water Bottle fits directly on to custom mounts that sit on traditional water bottle bosses, securely holding the bottle and enabling quick release.

Priced at £11.99 / US$20, the Fabric Water Bottle is supplied with Mounts and Bolts, and is intended to provide a total solution at a similar price to a mid range bottle alone.

The Fabric Water Bottle has a number of key benefits;

ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT
Using mounts weighing just 3g, the Fabric system is substantially lighter than any cage on the market – including the very lightest carbon cages.

NO UGLY CAGE NEEDED
The unobtrusive mounts are barely noticeable, preserving the clean lines of the bike frame when the bottle is not in place.

A LOW PRICE, COMPLETE SOLUTION
The entire Fabric Water Bottle system costs the same as a mid range water bottle.

MORE SECURE THAN A CAGE
In off-road tests, the Fabric Water Bottle system keeps bottles secure when traditional cages do not.

The 600ml Water Bottle shown here is the first model in the range from Fabric. Another huge benefit of the cageless system is that it will accommodate different shapes and sizes of bottle, meaning bespoke designs can and will be created – more sizes and designs are to follow.

The 600ml Water Bottle is available for demonstration now and will be in store from August 2015. A larger 750ml Water Bottle using the same cageless system will be available by the end of the year.
