Nightriding at Glentress and Mabie
Ever wondered what riding a 7stanes trail would be like at night? Well here's your chance - there are double nightriding opportunities this winter at Glentress and Mabie. Every mountain biker should give nightriding a go. It's an exhilarating experience and a whole lot of fun. Wednesdays at Glentress At Glentress, late night Wednesday openings take place throughout the winter. Shower and changing facilities in the Osprey car park will stay open until 10pm, as well as the Hub café and bike shop. Thursdays at Mabie At Mabie, the Bike Shed shop and Cafe will be open on Thursday evenings from 6-10pm. Light hire is £10 for the evening. There's a group ride which leaves from the Bike Shed at 6.30pm - all welcome. If you would like to eat, The Shed would appreciate an idea of numbers in advance – call the Tuesday beforehand on 01387 270275 or go to the the biking heaven forum (checked Wednesdays). If you haven’t been able to let them know, just call in before you go up into the woods. Quite possibly addictive... With great food and coffee, as well as the much needed post-ride warmth a café offers, Mabie and Glentress are the perfect places to try nightriding. Careful though - soon you'll be wanting a weekly fix! www.7stanes.gov.ukLatest news
