FIRST LOOK: Bliss ARG 1.0 LD 12L Backpack

The Bliss Backpack combines their knowledge and know-how from their limb and body armour, with their out of the box thinking.

Once again the guys from Bavaria are using their superb and space age new ARG material to protect your spine. They spent the last 5 years to puzzle in their S2 Lab working on this unique formula. ARG is a unique synergy between active materials and innovative geometry. They have developed a new flexible system that may be incorporated directly into the garment to protect the human body against impacts and abrasions. It comprises of revolutionary materials, which stiffen upon impact to provide protection, but flex with the musculature of the body when protection is not required, thus combining safety with comfort. ARG is both very flexible and very effective.

The CE certified and EN proven ARG spine shield is packed in a separate pocket so you can remove the pad for a casual street use, your walk to university or work. The 12l volume backpack is separated in 2 compartments. In compartment one, you can pack in you need for a ride; maps, food, extra clothes, sun screen or your after ride beer. Compartment two is equipped with tons of little pockets for your tools, extra tube, brake pads or other stuff you need. To keep your glasses scratch free, there is a goggle pocket lined with fleece.

Because the backpack was developed by Bliss in Bavaria - yeah it is not always sunny and blue skies - they know it rains from time to time. The backpack was tested and developed on several enduro races and after office rides, so they knew a waterproof cover is important. Well, a rain cover is one thing more you can forget while packing your backpack. Bliss proofed the outer shell with a 10K hydrostatic head, so no separate rain cover is required. The zippers are also waterproofed, so that rain and mud can ?t drip into the compartments. Another benefit of the waterproofed shell, you can easily clean it by wiping it with a wet towel.

Fore sure, there are more Bliss detail obsessed specs like: anatomic shoulder pads, asymmetric hip belt, hydration channel and so on. To put it in a nutshell, this high end backpack with all this spanking new features and the spine shield including scale only about 1000 (awesome) grams.
