Just when you thought the 2014 Downhill World Cup couldn't get any better, Santa Cruz Syndicate's Josh Bryceland lit up the Leogang track to claim the first World Cup win of his career.

With Loïc Bruni up by 0.5 seconds in his final run, it looked like the French flyer was set to repeat his qualifying victory, but a crash at the bottom of the "Stairs of Contrast" left Josh Bryceland at the top of the podium.

The women's race saw Madison Saracen's Manon Carpenter take her second World Cup win of the year with multiple World Cup champion Rachel Atherton finishing in second.

Perhaps the most talked-about moment of the day came from Specialized Racing's Aaron Gwin, who, having punctured up towards the top of the track, proceeded to dance his way down with no rear tyre in what was one of the most awesome displays of bike control we've ever seen.
