Red Bull Holy Bike 2014
Downhill and Enduro converge at Red Bull Holy Bike for a weekend of non-stop action.
The beautiful surroundings of La Pinilla BikePark in the Segovia region of Spain played host this past weekend to the first edition of Red Bull Holy Bike. This unique bike stage race sees riders compete against each other over three different mountain bike disciplines – downhill, enduro and avalanche.
Raced over five stages in two days, each rider had to select one mountain bike to ride all the disciplines. Whether a downhill or enduro mountain bike was chosen, participants would have to set up their bike wisely on trails that each offered different challenges. The rider with the best overall time after all the five stages would win the title.
In total 572 riders took to the start on Saturday (May 24) as the first of the two downhill stages kicked off the competition. Two enduro stages followed on Sunday morning (May 25) with the longer avalanche downhill race providing a spectacular finale to the whole event in the afternoon. Catch the events highlights above.
