Clementz continues dominance in the opening round of the EWS

Jerome Clementz established himself as one of the greatest Enduro racers the world has ever seen winning the first ever Enduro World Series title in 2013.

The reigning champ reconfirmed his dominance in the highly anticipated opening round in Chile over the weekend.

Over the course of six special stages of racing Jerome would steadily work his way ahead of the heavily stacked field of elite racers. The first three stages had a total of 1560-meters of descending with over nine kilometers of total timed racing. Stages one and three were sub-4-minutes runs for the fastest riders while stage two was the long and challenging one of the day at around eleven minutes for the majority of the Pro Men.

Stages four and five saw the fastest riders at just over five minutes and the final stage with the fastest time at eight minutes. Although trailing in the opening stages the returning Champion Jerome Clementz would eventually work his way back to the top step moving ahead of the competition to take the win.

SRAM XX1, SRAM Guide brakes, RockShox Pike, and TRUVATIV signature bars equipped Clementz's winning bike in Chile. This would mark the first outing and international victory for the new SRAM Guide brakes and another iconic win for the SRAM XX1 drivetrain, RockShox Suspension and TRUVATIV cockpit.

2nd - Jared Graves (Yeti)
3rd - Florian Nicolai (Rocky Mountain)

Elite Women:

1st - Anne Caroline Chausson (Ibis Cycles)
2nd - Tracey Moseley (Trek)
3rd - Cecile Ravanel (GT Pulse)
