It's finally here - there are wheels in the dirt of the 2014 UCI World Cup DH season! The Pietermaritzburg track in South Africa has, typically, caught a few people out once again.
The new, gnarlier rock section up top has been a bit of an eye-opener for a number of the riders who've turned up here aboard enduro bikes looking to capitalise on their light weight and pedalling efficiency.
Local boy and world champ Greg Minnaar topped the timesheets in practice which in theory doesn't count for much, although it's definitely a statement of intent from the Santa Cruz Syndicate rider. Greg is going to be tough to beat...
