Maxim Bikes Team News 2014

We've loved testing Maxim Bikes' frames, this year the British based company have expanded their team roster and are aiming for big things in the UK and beyond.

Here's what they had to say...

"We are very pleased to announce that Maxim Bikes will again be running a race team for the 2014 season. After the great success of our inaugural year on the circuit, both for the development of our frames and the personal development of our riders, we only saw it right to increase the size of our team.

So for the 2014 season representing Maxim at downhill riding the Maya will be Rhys (Powie) Evans and Tom Attlee. They will be racing a selection of local races, BDS’ and European events. Joining them is our first Youth rider Joe Breeden. Under the tutelage of both Powie and Tom we expect great things from him.

Moving on to the 4x team, Alex Metcalfe will again be riding in Elites at the Schwalbe 4X series and Protour events. After the electrifying, action packed season we had last year with Alex we’ve brought on two new riders. Our first female rider Cara Murray and exciting junior prospect JJ Scott will both be joining him. All three will all be riding the limited edition Rasta frame.

‘It’s a fantastic opportunity to be able to support so many talented and competetive riders. We expect great things for 2014’

Laurens Curteis, Maxim Founder

An honoury mention goes to George Belk who has been integral in getting the Maxim frames to where they are now. George is moving on to pastures new for 2014 and we wish him all the best.

Here’s to a great season of racing".
