3 Good/3 Bad - Week 5

The number one not necessarily mountain bike related weekly round up from a mountain bike magazine is back! Check out 3 Good / 3 Bad from Angus's week...

Good

Ridiculously good deals on new bikes...

Bike brands have got in a very kind habit of getting into a bit of a price war. The likes of Canyon and YT Industries who you have to deal with online direct to the company that keeps costs down and give you, the end use quite frankly incredible value for money.

A prime example is this Strive AL 9.0 Team…

A proven Enduro World Series winning machine with an incredible spec including SRAM X01 groupset, Fox Float X shock and Mavic Crossmax Enduro wheels for a quite frankly ridiculous £3099.99

It almost makes it worth buying the bike to split it for parts and resell it for the same price! Bonkers!

The final 12 minutes of Strength in Numbers.

It’s just rad… I saw it again the other day pop up on the facebook newsfeed and it was just the excuse I needed to dig through my DVD pile and fire up the Blu-ray player to re live what could be the single best 12 minutes to end a mountain bike film ever… The music choice, the narrative, the camerawork and the riding are just sublime!

Enjoy…

The Friday playlist Week 4.

Just a snippet of some of the tunes that have been getting me through the working week. Highlights from this weeks 10 come from the one and only Lou Reed, Jamie Cullum, The Futureheads and some disco funk from The Whispers...

Bad

Ear infections.

I’ve been suffering this week with a bit of partial deafness and excruciating pains caused by not being able to clear the pressure in my ears. I finally feel like I’m over the hill with it and it’s clearing up.

It wasn’t exactly ideal when all of a sudden I lost all sense of balance out for a ride and had to stop and have a sit down before I fell over.

Storm warnings that didn’t live up to their expected carnage.

With the amount of hype surrounding the big storm that played out this week I was at least expecting to come downstairs in the morning and find my car on it’s roof on top of next doors drive…

I blame this guy for making us so worried about the prospects of a mystery hurricane happening again we’ve all become far to cautious and gone the other way…

The Pins & Needles after Assembling flat pack furniture.

The actual assembly of a nice new cupboard to keep the junk in my bedroom in order wasn’t to bad… The sore knees and pins and needles I had shortly after completing the build however was not so!

Should of definitely pulled a pair of kneepads on!

We'll have more 3 Good/3 Bad next friday!
