Saracen British Downhill Series Round 4: Llangollen - Photos and Results

Yesterday saw the 4th round of the Saracen British Downhill Series roll into Llangollen! Check out a selection of photos straight from the back of Angus' lens!

The track at One Giant Leap is certainly one of the Gnarliest out there with it's steep turns up top but you have to keep a bit in the tank for the sprint at the bottom!

The big drops into the final woodland before blasting out into the field at warp speed were well spectated...

The speed at this section is hard to comprehend... Clip a tree here and kiss goodbye to your weekend!

There was a mix of styles coming out from riders as they pedalled for the line... Some opting for the aero tuck, some an all out sprint and this guy who went for a mix of both... You'll be glad to know he looked up before he hitting the hotseat at 30mph!

Rowan Sorrell continued his domination of the Masters Category with another victory. He even had enough time in the bank to have a sit down!

Tobi did an awesome job on the Mic for live at the event the live stream as always! You can catch the replay here...

The crowds we're out in force on the bottom of the hill lapping up the sunshine!

I don't think there was one spot on the hill that made this view look anything less than epic! Wales truly delivered!

Sam Dale was looking relaxed in the pits and charging on the bike. He's settled in well into the Madison Saracen Factory Set up! The results are bound to follow.

Laurie Greenland of Wideopenmag couldn't keep up his BDS winning streak in the Youth Category but that didn't shift the smile from his face in the pits after racing!

Rachel Atherton took the Elite womens category after finishing 2nd in seeding... If Manon Carpenter had managed to keep it rubber side down in Finals who knows what would of been!

Brendan Fairclough will be pleased with his result... 3rd place on a tough track in a stacked field is showing good progress before the next world cup in Andorra!

The Atherton GT Factory Racing setup must be doing something right... Marc looked as clinical as ever and will be pleased with his 2nd but he'll be wanting to defeat his team mate more than ever...

The Champagne was flowing at the podiums... Elite podium first timer Matt Stuttard recieved a good hosing after taking an awesome 4th place for the privateer.

Elite Mens Results...

  1. Gee Atherton
  2. Marc Beaumont
  3. Brendan Fairclough
  4. Matt Studdart
  5. Joe Smith

Elite Womens Results...

  1. Rachel Atherton
