LOCALS: Jon Credicott - Nukeproof Scalp

In this weeks LOCALS check in with Jon Credicott who rides a Nukeproof Scalp and is quite possibly the fastest estate agent in the county on a downhill bike.

In our weekly feature, we are getting out and about on the trails to meet everyday locals and find out a bit more about them and their bikes.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Name: Jon Credicott
Age:24
Location: Tavistock
Job:Estate Agents
Bike: Nukeproof Scalp
Interesting fact about yourself: I'm quite possibly the fastest downhill Estate agent in the county?!

How long have you been riding?
Since I was 14 so about 10 years now.

How often do you ride?
Most weekends when I can but alot of my time is taken up digging here at Tavi Chipshop!

What bike are you currently riding and talk us through your set up?
Pretty Basic setup really, I'm running 2013 Boxxers on a Nukeproof Scalp frame with a RockShox Vivid. I'm running the new Saint Brakes and Sram Gearing. I use Sunline bars with a Spank Integrated stem... It's a pretty good ride!

What types of riding do you normally do?
I mostly ride Downhill but also a bit XC when I feel like it and some BMX on the side!

What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
Probably the frame as a whole actually! I only got it last week!

What are your local trails?
My local trails are Tavi woodlands and Gawton!

What's your favourite part on your bike?
The Saint Brakes are pretty good but the bike as a whole is working really well at the moment. It's all pretty consistent!

Next upgrade planned for the bike??
Not for the moment. Not until anything brakes but I would of thouht it will be the wheels!

What other bikes do you own?
I have a BMX, a Kona XC bike and a Nukeproof Snap Hardtail

Any last words for us?
Thanks for everyone for coming out and supporting the local scene down here. It's really good to see Tavi woodlands coming up as well as Gawton! There's so much good riding here and hopefully there's even more to come!
