Fox Athletes get off to a flying start at the Sea Otter Classic

FOX would like to welcome the unofficial start of the season with the Sea Otter Classic and congratulate our athletes on some great results.

With no World Cup conflicts this year, the Sea Otter Classic was packed with the top riders from all over the world. The tough competition was a good proving ground for FOX athletes competing on their new bikes for the season. The redesigned air spring curves and CTD damping tunes that they were riding will transfer directly into FOX’s 2014 production forks and shocks.

Specialized’s Aaron Gwin showed that he can win on any track by edging out some tight competition in the downhill. Gwin gained a lot of attention by riding his Enduro 29er featuring a 2014 34 FLOAT 29 150 CTD fork and 2014 FLOAT X shock.

Norco’s Jill Kintner had another excellent Sea Otter weekend, winning both the dual slalom and downhill events on FLOAT CTD suspension and two different wheel sizes. Kintner raced her custom 26” slalom bike on Saturday but switched to her Sight for more travel and 27.5” wheels for the downhill on Sunday.

Jared Graves became a two-time slalom winner on his FLOAT X-equipped Yeti SB-66. Graves followed up his slalom win with a fourth in downhill on a 2014 34 FLOAT and FLOAT X.
