In our weekly feature, we are getting out and about on the trails to meet everyday locals and find out a bit more about them and their bikes.

Name: Austin Salmon
Age: 15
Location: Tonyrefail, South Wales
Bike: 2013 Scott Gambler

How long have you been riding?
I've been riding 2 years.

How often do you ride?
I try to get out at least 3 times a week.

What bike are you currently riding and talk us through your set up?
I ride a 2013 Scott Gambler 10 with Fox and Shimano components. I also run Renthal bars and chainring, a Mavic Deemax wheelset and Crankbrothers Mallet pedals.

What types of riding do you normally do?
I ride downhill at the weekends and cross country during the week after school.

What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
The last bit of gear for the bike was the Mavic Deemax wheelset.

What are your local trails?
My local trails are at Lantrisant Woods.

What's your favourite part on your bike?
It's gotta be the Fox forks and shock.

What's the next upgrade you have planned for the bike?
I don't think I have any upgrades planned at the moment... My bike is perfect.

What other bikes do you own?
I also own a Wethepeople Arcade bmx, Wethepeople Envy bmx, an Identiti Krisis sl 4x bike, a Lapierre Zesty 314 XC bike and a Mondraker Summum pro team downhill bike.
