The Bike Place Show 2013 - Highlights
Check out some of our favourite highlights from the Bike Place Show. We've got bits from Santa Cruz, Orange, Devinci, Transition and Bos Suspension + more.
The guys at Surf Sales had the quite frankly beautiful Transition Carbon Covert on show. Just how tidy does all the internal cable routing look!
Transition now cater for the big wheeled folk aswell with a 29er version of the Covert. The bike still looks just as good with bigger wheels.
Surf sales have now become the official distribution partner for BOS suspension in the UK. This new deal ensures BOS customers will finally be ale to get the technical support and warranty to go along with the already sublime BOS products that they have always craved.
The entire BOS range looked absolutely fantastic. The single crowned Deville caught our eye and would be a welcome addition to any all mountain bike!
Transtion's super basic Klunker stood proudly amongst some of the coolest bikes on the planet and didn't even look out of place! If it's simplicity your after this is the only way to go!
Over on the Santa Cruz stand they had the new V10c full carbon downhill bike as raced by the likes of Peaty, Minnaar and Brycleland.
There's just something about the shapes that carbon fibre can be manufactured, that is so easy on the eye. If it looks right, it probably performs right... A world championship and a bag full of world cup podiums don't lie!
Santa Cruz also had a selection of their Trail bikes on show that were certainly cutting the mustard.
For me the Devinci Wilson Carbon had to be one of the highlights of the show. A genuinely beautiful bike that comes in at a bargain price. The model on sale in the near future will have a slightly different spec to whats shown here and will come in nearly 1lb lighter. This genuinely is a real contender if your looking for a new downhill bike.
Orange Bikes had the brand new Five 29er on show. The one on show was one of a limited run of 100 that unbelievably have already been snapped up and have homes to go to!
We think it looks pretty special!
We spotted this interesting looking headset in a cabinet at the show which has the ability to offer 3 degrees of head angle change at the trail side with the removal of 2 screws.
These pedals produced by VP look from the outside like any other pedal out there but they are actually made from a super lightweight polycarbonate.
