Bikes, Beers and BBQ at the Bensink Compound
Bikes, beers and BBQ. That's what this event at the Bensink compound (The Netherlands) was all about. Olympic BMX-rider Twan van Gendt, Red Bull Rampage-rider Nico Vink and 4X-star Joost Wichman showed their skills, as did several other guys and girls.
Each year Thirty7even (Wichman's company), Bensink BMX Gates and Desmond Tessemaker organize an end-of-season jam. The event is for all BMX and mountainbike enthusiasts. With Nico Vink (13th at the Red Bull Rampage), Twan van Gendt (5th Olympic BMX Final in London) making their appearances, it was the perfect opportunity for young riders to meet the stars.
The day and evening were filled with spontaneously invented contests. Like long jumping and hitting a tin on the inside of a turn. For the rest it was chilling, drinking, eating and grabbing your bike to ride some more.
