DMR Bikes Pump Track Challenge - Bishops Tachbrook Preview
Bishops Tachbrook pump track has just been featured in this months MBUK magazine and given a 5 star rating, with the great local riders always riding the track at evening and weekend's it looks set to be one of the biggest races so far this year.
Natedog Parsons, has who has just came back from Poland where he was on the British Cycling 4X Team at the European 4X Championships and has got to be one of the local favourites to win the Pro race and take home the prize money.
The DMR Bikes Pump Track Challenge is great for rider and crowd participation so its easy to see how this has become one of the great fun events on the calendar. Its all free for everyone to come and watch and shout for your favourite rider to win.
This is the 2nd of five events across Britain this summer and if you're feeling a bit handy then there will be loads of prizes for the people that set the fastest time around the track. Although there's obviously no pedalling allowed it's still going to be a proper trial of strength and endurance as well as bike handling.
DMR Pump Track Challenge is promoted by Naked Racing. Head honcho Chris Roberts: "There has been an explosion of pump tracks across the country so now is just the perfect time to start racing on them. The small pump track creates an intense racing atmosphere with the whole crowd of spectators really shouting screaming for their favourite riders to win! DMR Bikes have been fantastic and really got the behind this with amazing Lezyne prizes topped it off with a Pro prize purse of £400 per event!"
DMR's Damian Mason: "DMR Bikes are really excited to boost the growth of the pump track scene with these exciting new competitive events. We are expecting some ripping action from each round."
Billy Cheatham from the local Cycling Club RSLCC said "there are over 30 club members all coming over to race and even more coming to watch it should be very popular with the local riders there is great riding scene going on in Leamington now"
As a side show to the Pump Track Challenge anyone can enter for free the Lezyne Exploder. Showcasing the incredible pumping power of the Lezyne Dirt Floor Drive pumps. Two competitors go head to head in frantic pumping action to explode an inner tube. First to burst gets a Lezyne prize.

What is a Pump Track?
Pump Tracks are one of the best ways to learn skills for all types of riding dirt. Open to all skill levels, Pump Tracks are attractive to dirt new comers and are the breeding ground for dirt jumping and 4x racing formats. Pump Tracks are springing up all over the country. They vary in design but are generally short, rolling, tight and twisty. They challenge rider's skill. Races will be won and lost in the corners. Upper body strength and bike handling is key as no pedalling is allowed
