Describe your riding style in three words - Smooth, Efficient and Powerful

What's your favourite bit of kit on your bike?

I would say the frame, The frame has made the biggest difference to my riding this year. I was doing ok everywhere else but on the world level I feel like I've really stepped up and  feeling a lot quicker and I would attribute that all to the frame.

Do you have any prototype parts or stuff the public can't get hold of on your bike?

I'm running with Sun Ringle's carbon wheels, they cut down on rotating weight and make a really big difference. Some of the internals on the forks are a little bit special. That's about it for the moment but a few more prototype bits will probably be on here for the Worlds in Leogang.

How would you describe the set up of your bike?

The set-up for this track is quite stiff on the forks. Not much compression and quite slow rebound so when your hitting the pro lines it doesn't kick back. At the Pro Tour and some of the european races set-up comes into it a lot more.

What have been your best results so far this year?

This year I won the National Champs which was great. I finished 5th in the Pro Tour and I'm currently sat 2nd in the European series. If I do well here today, I will wrap up the National Series. So its been an awesome year really!

What part makes the biggest difference on your bike?

My Frame makes a huge difference as I've said before and the reduced rotating weight from the carbon wheels is an advantage. I use Formula Brakes so the braking is really solid. The tyre selections I've had from Schwalbe are great. What ever I'm looking for, whether its a lightweight tyre, a super grippy tyre, or if it's rocky you've got the snakeskin sidewall options. Whatever the weather, wherever I am in the world. I'm covered for tyres! So I would say the tyres make the biggest difference.

A big thanks to Scott Beaumont. Stay tuned next week for the next Bike Check...
