LOCALS: Paul Garde

In our new weekly feature, we are getting out and about on the trails to meet everyday locals and find out a bit more about them and their bikes.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Name: Paul Garde
Age: 30
Job: Carpenter
Bike: Canyon Nerve

How long have you been riding?
I've been riding for about 18 months. I used to ride much more when I was younger but I've just got back into it recently.

What are your local trails?
My local trails are at Poldice Valley, I ride up there quite often.

How often do you ride?
I ride once a week on average. Some weeks I get out 2 or 3 times, other weeks not at all.

What types of riding do you normally do?
A bit of everything!

What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
Bikes pretty standard really. Like I said I've only been back into mountain biking for the last 18 months,  I read lots of reviews and it got some good reviews, plus the price was good.

What's your favourite part on the bike?
I don't know really, I haven't bought anything new for it so I suppose the whole bike?!

Next upgrade planned for the bike?
I'm planning to possibly upgrade to a shorter stem.

What other bikes do you own?
Got an old orange p7. That's what I used to ride years and years ago but I've put slick tyres and rigid forks on and I use it on the road now.
