PHOTOS: Specialized UK 2012 Bike Launch: 29ers

Today from the Specialized UK 2012 bike launch, we have a selection of 29ers. Now I know every says that they are just for roadies on mountain bikes and what not but the way they roll off road is said to be amazing. And that you cannot hate them till you have tried one. I for one will be trying one but Im a firm believer of the 26. So a full review on how I got on will be in the future. Check out some of the new models below… Up first is the new 29er the Carve, this is essentially very similar to the timeless Rockhopper but in the obvious 29 inch format. Pictured is the base model version for a £1000 and with a good spec this will be a very popular entry level 29er. Then we have the Epic 29er, last year they had one 29er model but this year the entire range is big wheeled! Branching right into the competitive XC market, this one is going to be quick! New model for last year the Camber has now split its range between 29 and 26, here is one of the carbon 29 versions with a very bright paint job and monster tubing at steerer. This 29er model is designed for a bit more abuse, looking towards the All Mountain/Trail market. Bit dark this picture yes I know but mainly because this bike looks unbelievably stealth! This is the new Stumpjumper HT EVO model (all Stumpjumper hardtails are now 29ers by the way) and as some of you may know the EVO models are a lot more aggressive than the standard ones. This model comes with a trick 1X10 set up, huge wide bars for this type of bike and longer traveled forks. If you into aggressive hardtail riding, then this could be the bike for you! Lastly we have the top of the range Carve, the Pro. This model comes with a classy red, white and black paint job and a good all round spec. Defiantly going to be strong contender in the 29er market. Tomorrow stay tuned for hardtails and you can check out previous articles here: Gravity Trail/All Mountain Hot Pursuit Cycles
