PHOTOS: Specialized UK 2012 Bike Launch: Gravity

Headed up to Specialized UK yesterday to check out an exclusive look into their entire 2012 bike range and it is looking good! I took my camera along and did the best I could with the poor lighting to get some decent shots of the new rides. Over the next few days I will be posting articles from the different bike genres and am starting with the Gravity/Downhill range, as I guess thats the one most people want to see! The Demo 8 full build remains the same frame wise, except for the new white/red/black colour but has some differences in spec. Now all Demo 8 frames come with the Cane Creek Double Barrel shock and the full builds come stock with Renthal bars! Same again for the Demo 8 frame it remains unchanged apart from the shock, which does look pretty sweet sat in this new red and black colour way. Back for 2012 is the classic SX Trail, featuring a new frame design and Fox Shocks front and back, this is going to be a popular bike in the freeride market. It also comes with a double ring set up so it can still be taken uphill and the chain device makes sure it stays on downhill. Also new for this year is the Status, branching into the lower end downhill market and doing it well. For a full build with Fox rear shock, Rockshox Domains triple clamps and SRAM brakes/gearing, the price tag sits at £2300! Then there is the alternative to the Status II. The Status I is the cheaper version with downgraded suspension but uses the same frame. Stay tuned tomorrow for All Mountain/Trail bikes Hot Pursuit Cycles
