REPORT: South West DH Champs
The Southwest Champs were held at Gawton last weekend and all the champions were crowned on this great day of racing. Using the infamous Dirt '1.04' track, 'Super-Tavi' provided the ideal course to find the winners.
Featuring two road gaps right from the word go and plenty of steep technical sections, racing was bound to be exciting and not for the faint hearted. With practice on Saturday being joined by awful wet weather, the track was running very greasy and racing was set to be pretty interesting.
I found myself watching the race from what I heard called 'Hecklers Corner' borrowed from the infamous 'Hecklers Rock' in Whistler. Here using my GoPro HD HERO I managed to get some hilarious cheering action and a couple of nasty crashes. Check out the video below.
