REPORT: Trek World Racing - XC Rd 7
Lukas Flueckiger Scores Podium at World Cup Finals for Trek World Racing the Flueckiger brothers once again had top 10 results yesterday at Round 7 of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup here in Val Di Sole, Italy in very warm conditions on a steep track that was almost entirely climbing or descending. Luk had a great race, always in touch with the top 5, and his legs were the strongest of the chase group on the final lap eventually taking his first World Cup podium of the year. His brother Math also had a great ride moving up through the top 10 to take a well-deserved 7th place For both brothers it's been a World Cup season of two halves. The first half up to Offenburg (GER) was extremely frustrating with mixed results and disappointing speed. However both riders worked hard on reviewing their training programs and their mental approach, and now find themselves where they need to be. The second half of the season sees them clearly as 2 of the best 10 riders in XC racing, which augurs well for the World Championships coming up in 2 weeks.Latest news
