White's level trail gets new 'Energy' section
Work will be commencing at the end of this month on a new section on Whites Level - called 'Energy' this is an approximate 4km section which will replace an existing forest road section, which will make Whites a 99% single track trail!!!!
It’s positioned between the sections 'Windy Point' and 'Goodwood' and will hopefully be an extremely exciting section of trail. Starting with a fast descent through mature woodland, it drops down to a secluded stream crossing, were we hope to build a rest area (bring your butties) adjacent to the stream and bridge. Then the section finishes with some nice fast bits and a short climb back out of the valley to 'Goodwood'.
This is one of the first of the proposed new sections to be constructed in Afan funded by our main sponsor N Power Renewables (hence the section name 'Energy') who have a five year deal with FC at Afan. A Bike Park/Skills Area is also planned for Afan although that may still be some time off. www.mbwales.com
