The 28th of May saw the crew from Slam69 Dartmoor bikes hit the Welsh valleys for the 3rd round of the Uk 4X series. Afan Country Park was to play host to this round and a much talked about new 4X track promised to deliver some great racing with rock gardens and cork-screw corners but surely they have taken into account this is Wales and can rain on the odd occasion… well rain was to play a part for sure making many of the tabletops quite a challenge to just get over, a real shame but the racing was still great to take part in and watch. With the investment from Schwalbe, Sky TV was on hand to make a half hour program covering the weekend, which included a round of the Euro 4X series on Sunday. The sport of 4X desperately needs more exposure so this is sure to be a great boost, just such a shame the weather took the edge off what is a great spectator experience. Saturday saw the UK round eventually kick off once the horizontal rain finally broke and the weather turned dry for the rest of the day. Checkout the video below... Pro-Elite: 1.
