World distance jump record broken 134ft

On a very cold frozen day in Coed Llandegla Forest in North Wales after a weeks preparation Jason Rennie the holder of the world indoor and outdoor distance MX jump records has added the MTB record. A failed attempt by his Australian name sake Nathan Rennie to beat the current record of 116 ft in the Painted Desert was made in late 2005 but the popular rider crashed at 121ft. Jason riding a team Kona Stab Supreme in his first attempt past the 116 ft mark and remained on his bike. A few minutes later a second attempt realised his ambition with an outstanding jump of 134 feet. www.konaworld.com
