Members Video: Alex Hemingway Demo Real

While browsing our video section last week, I came across this sweet edit from 18 year old member Alex Hemingway from Leeds, who has been using his gap year to really step up his riding and racing results before heading off to University. Check out the video below and find out a bit more about Alex. My Name's Alex Hemingway, I'm 18, from Leeds and have been riding downhill for about a year but passionate about cycling since I can remember. I've been using my gap year to really step up my riding and get into racing properly before I head off to uni for an outdoor leadership degree and of course the uni Downhill team. I get a lot of support from my family, ferrying me up and down to track days and races and not to mention the money they have put into my bike! Whilst my girlfriend Nancy, cheers me on, keeps me motivated and tends to my injuries! Filming the video it was great, I am used to filming and editing projects as well as being in front of the lens so it was great to see Gee's fresh perspective on my local trails and I am really looking forward to working with him at Wharncliffe for his new project "Wharncliffe". The video is a teaser for George Milners new film "Aspects" so I think it's only fair he should tell everyone about it! I woke up at 7am on the 17th of January reeling from a heavy night out to remember that I'd agreed to meet Alex at Leeds station in an hour, I looked out of the window to see driving wind and rain, I questioned my sanity. All day I battled against wind, rain and cold... I'm glad I did because the filming session was killer! Alex's dad helped to keep the rain out of the lens, much appreciated dude! Seriously stoked on the stuff I managed to film at Adel, Alex has style I have never seen a local rider display before and I cannot wait to see him on this new DJ bike he's building up, keep an eye out for him this summer! Please check out my Twitter and 'LIKE' my Facebook page to keep up to date with all my current and future projects! What to showcase your riding skills here? Get your video edits and photos uploaded and drop us a email to info@moredirt.com, telling us a bit about yourself and your local trails.
