Urban Downhill Charity Event 2011
UDHC (Urban Downhill Charity Event) hits the University of Plymouth for the second time on 26th March 2011. Established by Jon Catney a Marine Sports undergraduate at the University of Plymouth as a way of getting involved with the locals & promoting other means of cycling. This is its second year as a fully organized race with ever increasing plans to expand. It has grown from what started out being a small 'low key' event to a massive race connecting big name importers & local shops. The race is being held in order to raise money for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth The event is a great way of getting those hardened downhillers mixing with the street riders and the new kids on the block. Check out the highlights from last year: Categories used on the day will be open to all 16+. You do not have to be affiliated with a club or team; you don't have to be a British Cycling member...if you want to have fun and an awesome day out, pop down. There will be a mechanic on the day offering set up and tuning advice as well as a multitude of riders from every discipline. Prizes will be awarded to the top three riders in each category. British Cycling Regional A points will be available. There will also be bonus prizes (more will be revealed on the day). Various giveaways and activities will be held throughout the day. The event will see an even bigger after party held in UoP students union after the event! To see an amazing event c'mon down to University of Plymouth on the 26th March 2011!Latest news
