Change of venue for SDA Final
To all riders of the SDA Series, It is with regret that the SDA wish to announce that the final round of the 2006 Series will NOT be held at Glencoe. This decision has reluctantly been taken after last weekend’s first uplift days at Glencoe and the course has cut up more than expected. This was not helped by the wet weekend but may have been a blessing in disguise so that we could see what the course may have done during the race. While there is time before the event to do more work on the course it was felt that the workload would exceed that which is able to be achieved in the time between now and the proposed race. Rather than run a race on a course that may not hold up to a full weekend’s racing the decision was taken to seek an alternative venue, rather than cancel at the last minute. I know some people will have already booked accommodation in the Glencoe area and I can only apologise for any inconvenience this decision may cause, but I hope that you will understand our predicament. However we have re-organised the event to be held at Innerleithen and have been talking this week with the Hub and the Forestry Commission to enable this to happen. We fully intend to continue to develop the Glencoe track and all being well will use it next year for a race. Apologies again for this but we felt that this was the best decision to take. Please let any other riders that you know have entered the Glencoe round that it will now be held at Innerleithen. We look forward to seeing many of you at Dunkeld for the Scottish Champs on the 19/20th August. For more information check out: www.sda-races.comLatest news
