Worlds 4-Cross & Downhill Team Announced

The 2006 MTB World Championships are taking place in Rotorua, New Zealand at the end of August and GB are fielding an extremely talented team in the DH and 4X elements. At present Great Britain is the number 1 nation in both the Male and female Downhilling and we have the Number 1 male - Steve Peat - and the Number 1 female - Tracy Moseley in the World. However, GB have yet to win a senior Downhill World title, an incredible statistic and one which will have to go soon! The men's event is always pretty wide open, with any one of perhaps 20 riders capable of winning it on their day. However, there are realistically only perhaps five women who can take their title and Tracey Moseley (right) and Rachel Atherton are amongst them. We'll have reports from the event. Senior Men Steve Peat Gee Atherton Marc Beaumont Dan Atherton Will Longden Senior Women Tracy Moseley Rachel Atherton Helen Gaskell Fionn Griffiths Joey Gough Junior Men Brendan Fairclough Ralph Jones www.britishcycling.org.uk
