Ride Central venue change for this weekend

The New Ride Central downhill series designed to encourage first-timers has had to switch venues at the last minute. This week's practice/race weekend takes to Churchill - due to circumstances beyond the organiser's control the venue had to be switched from Cheddar to Churchill at the last minute. Ride-Central launched earlier this year in and around the south-west. It's labelled as an 'entry level' event, so courses cater for all abilities. The format for the weekend is Saturday practice with racing on the Sunday. On race day, you get two timed runs following a three hour practice session, with prizes in all categories. There's live timing and results and we're assured there'll be top commentary. Racing costs £23 for U16s and £25 for everyone else, though pre-enter and you get a healthy discount. If you want a bit more practice on the course it's open between 10am to 4pm on Saturday. It's £12 for all ages. www.dirt-racing.co.uk
