Oneplanet Adventure Are Seeing Red!

Oneplanet Adventure - The guys who run the centre at Coed Llandegla Forest, have had something on their mind for a while! How many different red grade trails do you think you could ride in a week? Having thought about this, we reckon 29 is a good starting point. A few beers later and Jim and Ian, directors of Oneplanet Adventure have decided to give it a go! On the 9th May 2009 Jim and Ian will set off from Dalby Forest on a mission to ride more than 500Km's each and drive more than 2500km’s to complete the challenge. As well as providing them with a massive personal challenge they are also trying to raise as much money as possible as they go, in aid of Alzheimer's Society. A charity which is close to Jim’s heart, after his father lost his battle with the disease a couple of years ago aged just 58. Their journey will take them from the North of England, up the East coast of Scotland, North of Inverness, then back down through the 7 Staines, North West England, the Midlands, South and Mid Wales, finishing on 16th May at, where else but, Coed Llandegla Forest. Where upon we will have a large celebration, BBQ, fun and games to which you are all invited. To make a donation to this most deserving of causes and help the guys on their way, please visit www.justgiving.co.uk/oneplanet. Every penny raised will go towards researching the cause of, finding a cure for and helping sufferers and their families cope with dementia. Once they set off on the 9th we will be using GPS technology to allow LIVE tracking their progress on our website at www.oneplanetadventure.com. This means you will be able to follow their every step. They will also be uploading photo’s and a day by day diary to the site too! You can find out more information regarding the challenge that has been set by visiting www.oneplanetadventure.com.
