Westcountry Kona dirt bike park 'The Track' will be celebrating it's 5th Birthday. Not wanting to take it easy, they have been busy creating an event never attempted before in the UK. The Track owner, Steve Tonkin, said "we've had 4 great years and we always seem to end the year with a big event, for 2009 I wanted to START the season off with our biggest event yet". So the 'Track Invitational' was born. This event will showcase BMX & 4X Racing, Slopestyle, MTB Dirt Jumping and BMX Dirt Jumping. The Top 20 riders from each discipline will be invited to compete at 'The Track', with extra wildcard competitions taking place over the weekend for new talent to try for the chance to compete in the main events. As an added bonus the BMX Racing will be a South West regional event and is expected to attract in excess of 150 competitors. The event will also include music, entertainment, and a selection of quality food and leading bike and clothing vendors.
