Something for the girls...and the boys
Flowmtb's dirtgirls is going into its fourth year of girl only biking trips in the Alps, and as always there are new improvements on the already great package. For 2009, dirtgirls will return to Morzine, with two weeks: a beginner's week from 20-27th June and a rider's week from 15-22nd August. New for 2009, the beginner's week will run from the 20-27 June with fully qualified guide and coach Ulrika Tamanini. Ulrika is a great coach who has the patience to make sure everyone will come out a better rider. The days will be a mixture of coaching and riding on fantastic trails with amazing scenery. This week is aimed at girls who are fairly new to mountain biking and want to pick up essential skills whilst riding in an amazing area of the world. The rider's week in August is aimed at regular bikers who want a holiday riding great trails with other women, and getting some coaching on the way. Petra Wiltshire will be along as coach again, working with Jo, a fully qualified French guide and instructor. Ulrika will be guiding again this week, so there will be two separate riding groups each day. Expect a mixture of short coaching sessions on trails, and long days out on the amazing Alpine singletrack. Minx, the website dedicated to cycle clothing for girls with attitude will be supporting the dirtgirls weeks for the fourth year in a row. This year Minx will not only be providing end of week prizes, but is offering all 2009 dirtgirls a discount on pre-trip purchases so they can get ready to hit the trails in style! COSTS: 700 euros (600 pounds) for the beginners dirtgirls week and 800 euros for the August dirtgirls week. Lift pass and transfers from Geneva airport are included as well as food, accommodation and guiding. DATES: 20-27 June and 15-22nd August.
