Tracy Moseley Is National Champion
Kona Les Gets rider Tracy Moseley has secured the title of British National Champion for the second consecutive year. The championship was contested on the wet and muddy slopes of Rheola, in South Wales. The weather was to be a major factor of the weekend, with intermittent rain showers all weekend. The course actually rode better when it was raining, washing away the slick clay mud surface which was prevalent as soon as the water stopped falling from the sky. The trade off was in the vision department, with several goggle tear-offs being used on every run. Tracy lead out on Saturdays qualifying and didn’t disappoint come the final, with a characteristically fast and fluid run she clinched the National Champion medal by some 2.5 seconds, and with that the privilege of wearing the National Champions jersey for another year. It was a good weekend for Kona in the Masters category too, with Kona Sombrio rider Andrew Titley taking a bronze medal. And Glyn O’Brien clinched a silver medal in the Irish National Championships, held in Rostrevor in Ireland on the same weekend. The Czech National Champs was also held on the same weekend, and Kona Les Gets rider Kamil Tatarkovic scored an impressive second place and National silver medal.
