Review:
Really don't like Elnup, too boggy when wet, trees and branches strewn all over the place. Hard to follow where you're going and once you find the trails they're no good anyway.

no signs at all so I'm not sure if I took the best route through, easy to park and to get into but pretty confusing once your in - with that said there are some good drops, jumps and tricky rooty sections but it just doesn't flow together. lots of narrow bridges and gates too which means regular jumps off the bike!
ok if your local but plenty of better areas pretty close by in Rivington, tockholes, darwen etc etc

Review:
There was quite a lot thick mud and stairs but there are a few descents and jumps, Also it was confusing to navigate and the bridges are to thin to fit you bars across so they need lifting across which is annoying. would not recommend on a wet day.

went 08-03-11, first time there today. very good location. good parking on the road outside. if you follow the in route up the steps then through a field for about 1km, turn right then first right again. you are rewarded with a slight decline hitting around 35kmh, then back into the woods proper carrying the speed after the gate. i stayed high and used the contours as best i could. very easy to do a few 6km loops with down hill and very little walk/carry needed. or keep pushing it out the back and extend as long as you need. Beware the wooden bridges are very tight,i could not fit my bars through.
