Summary:
nice mellow ride with flowing decents
Review:
A great, fun trail to spin around for an hour, easy climbs and flowing decents as fast as you make them. No technical obstacles.

Good trail, excellent for beginners
Review:
The other half want to try her 1st trail and from what I read penydd is generally regarded as the easiest of the afan trails. Unfortunatly we chose probably the worst weekend to go due to the weather making it seem alot harder than it was.
Climbs are reletively easy, not Tecnical as 95% are fire roads. Sidewinder for me as the best section along with the hidden valley.
Will definately head back but only when the weather is better as I think this more than other trails is seriously effect by it.

Not To Technical, Suited to Those Making the Step Up from Blue
Review:
If you're just getting into MTB or making the step up from blue graded trails, then this is the destination for you.
It starts with a fairly big climb (some singletrack, some fire road), then a series of downhills with one longer climb in the middle.
It can be a susceptible to being a bit boggy in wet conditions.
There isn't anything particularly technical about the trail and it is the easiest of the Afan trails.

Sweet Trail
Review:
This trail seemed to have a little bit of everything thrown in, really good fun. And it was helped along by wonderful weather to make the most of the views too
