My new ride!
UPDATE: New Bits! Woo!
Went back to uni this month in Leeds, anyone who knows leeds will tell you that leeds is 99% tarmac or paved... so I went all urban and it's an absolute hoot to ride now!
The Hookworms... controvesial choice I know, however they are great for asphalt use, not so good for offroad... in fact I'd rather amputate my testicals with a rusty spoon than ride them off road- so I've hung onto my old michelin dh 2.5's for anything that isn't smooth tarmac. As far as weight goes- the bike weighs a hell of a lot anyway- and the old tyres were 1.25kg per end... so really I'm weight saving here... kinda perverse choice of tyre to choose but I just love the looks and the ride of them- where else can you find a 2.5" wide slick that can run at 65psi that doesn't look uber-gay on a dh bike?
Anyways, needs must and all so the bike has been set up to use in the city rather than off road, so I guess it's more urban freeride / assault right now than DH. Obviously not ideal due to the weight... but it'll keep me fit!
Old spec:
Picked it up a month ago from Plymouth for £400! Not expecting great marks- but please mark it as if you'd spent £400 on it!

DH8 Frame - 8 inch rear travel
2003 Boxxer Race forks.
2008 Manitou Swinger 4way rear shock
Mavic 321 front rim on hop bigun hub with Hope Mono 6 ti
Mavic 521 rear rim on XT hub with Hope Mono 4
Kooka DH Cranks
Titec riser bars on Da Bomb DAX stem.
I know it needs some new parts- e.g. rims, forks & cranks - but please be kind guys!

no it wasnt you just wanted too knock the bike down for marks because if you forgot too give it a rating then it would be a 5 so dont lie about it we aren't stupid
