OMG dude, that is SO blatant. I can't believe that they have tried denying the weakness there, in fact, the picture shows how the disc brake is directly applying all it's force through that area. That fact is backed up by their addition of the ''fin'' bit, I love Kona's, but they are beginning to test my patience...
dodgy isnt it. they obviously messed up the design and have tried to cover the weakness by adding this bit in. i think they should have given these chainstays out free to people who had broken ones. like an extended warranty on the chainstay part. i dont know how they can charge so much for it. chain reaction sell a coiler chainstay for £50, it just wont fit the stinky but its a very similar part, i had to pay 4x that to replace mine.
