A challenging and exciting mountain bike ride covering 38 or 76 miles of breathtaking scenery.
On the York 38 Special or the Spirit of 76, you will gain 3,000 vertical feet form lowest point of the ride (Nelson), traveling mainly on dirt roads and singletrack. For families, there's also the Lucky 13 Ride -- 6 miles to Vigilante Campground and back along beautiful Trout Creek Canyon.
There will be numerous rest stops with water, sports drinks, and homemade baked goods! Bike mechanics and EMTs available on the course. Help us build our much needed fire station in the Eldorado area to help protect our neighbors and the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest! Our overall fundraising goal is $200,000! YFR Inc is a 501c3 organization. Your donation may be tax deductible.York Fire Rescue is a rural, all-volunteer fire department providing emergency and fire service to the communities of York, Eldorado, Nelson, and American Bar. York Fire Rescue has a small tax base and serves a 200 square mile area - 20 miles NE of Helena within the Helena National Forest.
