I use Bracknell pretty regularly and don't get me wrong I really enjoy it but....

The 'but' is really that it could be so much more. Why doesn't the FC/lookout (whoever) put some time and effort in to work with the riders to make it something special. It has real potential to be one of the biggest venues in the southeast thanks to its natural terrain and its proximity to London.

OK for locals

Review:
Swinely Wood is mainly forestry fire tracks lacking in any completed trails it’s a mix and match of short man made single tracks that last for a couple of km then just end on forestry fire tracks. Ideal for locals looking to stretch the legs but until they put together complete trails with signs its nothing special. A shame because there are some great tracks its just finding them and putting them together for a daylong ride. A bit of cash and hard work could really put together a really nice mix of trails and jumps for all types of riders.
The Lookout a café, kids fun zone and play area is good for younger kids. Offers toilets and Bike hire if required.

Review:
Swinley Forest is great for a full day out. I often go after school to the 'gully' to do some jumping and on the weekend i go around and search for new single tracks, there are so many ( not very well signposted though) its easy to get lost which is fun.

Challenges for all rider types.

Review:
Swinley Forest has something for everyone from the leisure/family rider to the advanced rider. Be warned though, that it is quite easy to head down there, ride about on the fire-roads and never find any of the superb singletrack which is hidden away all over the forest (and not just in the 'Expert Area'.

It's amazing that even when the car-park is completely packed you can ride around for ages on the singletrack without bumping into many people.

The lookout has a great little cafe for that post ride snack.

Good fun for all types of riders!

Review:
The 'Gully' has a very good set of jumps that are unique as you can mix and match your jumps as you ride it. Super smooth from start to finish it allows for good progressive dirt jump riding.

Overall the XC routes are good and are mainly single track, although they're let down by the lack of signposts/ route markers and non-locals could end up getting slightly lost!

Freeride area's coming along nicely with some really big stuff if you know where to look!
