Summary:
Ride it hard and fast and it's a rocky BLAST!!

Review:
If you get your kicks from hooning it down rock-strewn trails then Marin is for you.

All of the rocks are rideable at speed, keeping the flow going, without being too technical - unlike say CYB.

Pigs Might Fly, Dragon's Tail and the last section are a complete hoot. Yes there are some fireroad climbs, but they are mostly at the beginning and once you get into the meat of the trail it flows nicely.

With a decent level of fitness there's no need to moan about the fireroad, allowing you get on with enjoying the high-speed carnage the trail throws at you!

constant hill climbs

Review:
had read up many good reviews on this trail but sadly in my eyes if you enjoy continues hill climbs with very few descents this trail is for you. Starts off will hill climb with a couple tricky descents then game over for 2 somethin hours then finishes with a brilliant down hill trail if only there were more'.

The climbs are not worth it

Review:
We were really disappointed with this trail. We had heard great things but it really disappointed. There are massive fire road climbs that keep going for ages. You would expect a long descent after this but the longest descents were about 3-4 minutes. This pattern repeated over and over. There was way too much fire road descending as well. Who wants to go down on a fire road? Boring.

The last descent was good but we were pretty tired by then so didnt get much enjoyment out of it. This is not just my view but all 10 of us on the trip felt much the same.

good for a second days ride...

Review:
did this trail last weekend, was disapointing compared to other trails ive ridden - a LOT of fire road. Nothing much challenging or long enough, middle ring up the climbs, descents over too quick and back onto another fire trail. the saving grace is the last section which you can get onto part way through and miss the bulk of it out.
Id definately do it again but just spend the day doing the last section.
Im rating this based on the last section only! the rest isnt worth getting wet!

A Crafted Wonder

Review:
Forgive me for sounding like the MBUK review for this trail but they were spot on. The quality of the trail is superb, especially considering its age.
I have ridden quite a few trails in a relatively short space of time and this is one of the best.
The climbs are some of the longest i have done, but it rewards the soul with sense of physical achievement.
I would normally only push really hard on a trail i have ridden before so I know about any nasty suprise that may be lurking round a corner, but the Marin trails downhill/singletrack sections never throw anything too technical at you and it begs you to ride it as fast as you can.
So thats what I did and bloody loved it!!
Take it easy, make a day off it and have a breather before the singletrack bits so you can hammer them.
