Fun flowing trail

Review:
The follow the dog route is a fun trail with some spectacular scenery from the ridge tops. Although some parts are sign posted as technical there is nothing that cant be done slowly if you have ridden a bike for a while. The bike shop on site has some great staff that can give trail advice and directions should you need it. Thanks Lads.

There are a few leg burner climbs but thankfully they are short which makes the decents all the more worth it. The single track through the wooded sections is very tight and great fun to ride with many switch backs and tree gaps not much wider than your handle bars. Take care with the surface though as the loose pebble which makes up most of the tracks can result in an unwanted slide and can sometimes make the climbs difficult but great for improving your technical riding.

A Good fun day out.

The Dog's Proverbials!

I love this trail! There are few better places to spend two hours after work (apart from mud-wrestling with Beyonce obviously). Chuck the bike in the boot, get your shizzle together and just go ride it.

It's not very long, it's not very hilly but it's ace for a full-pace burnout to get rid of the stresses and strains of the day. You can really hammer it for a couple of laps until the lactic acid gets too much - my favourite fun is spotting a lycra clad whippet on a full suss race machine in the distance, chasing him down and watching his face as my fat, baggy clad ass whizzes past on a Rockhopper! Woo hoo!

Epic riding it ain't - but there's nowhere better for a good few miles. Gets a bit gloopy in mid winter too - but where doesn't?

I think the chaps who look after the track are in the process of extending it so it's one for the future too. Perhaps a few more jumps could be thrown into the mix just for fun!

And the nearby downhill track at Stile Cop is worth a look - it's a great basic level DH course that'll build up confidence for bigger challenges.

Sweet as.
