It'st just under a hour from where I live, Follow the Dog is worth the drive!
I was hooked from the first time I rode it.
The section when you cross over the road is my personal favourite, it's placement on the trail makes it a fantastic finish.
The whole site at Cannock Chase is excellent, they have a Bike shop (the staff are very helpful) a coffee shop and also a GoApe! course.
Parking is only £3.00 all day.
It's not worth missing.
