skills area good for dh i guess, but not for me, the rest was very boring although im told there was supposed to be northshore and singletrack here, we never found it.

parking bloody expensive (4quid for 3hrs at the centre) but thats our fault for not parking somewhere else, but we didn't know where to go.

its good for beginners as the trails are flat, hard packed and drain well, but they don't test you whatsoever.
as has been mentioned before, there are other places in the vicinity which are much better suited to the more discerning rider (north wales, pennines, cannock)

Skills area - fun but in need of some TLC

Purely from a downhill/freeride perspective:
Downhill - dont bother as there are no hills round here. There are some short flowy tracks but they are not much longer than a tennis court with a couple of jumps thrown in.
Freeride - Good fun area, lots of little jumps including a couple of doubles up to about 12 or 15 feet but they are now rounded off and have lost their shape, still rideable though. I haven't hit the road gaps yet as again they look to need a bit of work, the easier one has lost its lip. The far hill has some more little hits which you can hit at speed and the four cross is ok.

There are a few nice mini downhill (very mini) runs here and a few nice jumps and drops to play around on but it never manages to hold my interest for much more than an hour. Can be hard to find the interesting stuff though.

first time it's confusing but once you'v been there a few times it's really good. favourite part is old pale (the twisting single track) recommende for all skills and types of riding
