Great for beginners or advancing your tricks

Review:
If you are a hardcore freerider then this is definately not for you. It is however a great trail for learning the basics and then taking it a step further - Funny how it sort of represents the name!.

I loved the top section of this course with the two table tops and step up. The tables are split with a small kicker on one side and a normal lip on the other with a nice easy run out which can be forgiving if you don't quite make the trick. The step up is great fun and gave me the opportunity to learn no footers and one handers without the worry of a long fall off the other side if it doesn't go to plan.

The north shore section is ok but nothing special, again its ideal if you haven't ridden anything like this before and want to build your confidence. Further down there is a small drop in and then the trail splits in two like a duel course with some small table tops one set slightly more difficult than the other.

Overall good fun for a blast down the hill and it is well used by riders of all abilities.

Well designed fast flowing Red Trail, just fantastic for everyone.

Review:

The first thing you notice when you arrive here is the amount of riders which shows its really popular, and thats because its class.

This place has all the facilities that you would expect such as Toilets, Showers, Bike hire, cafe.

The trail starts off with a climb up but its not to steep and is definitely worth it. Once your up its time for the fast flowing single track back down that launches you over jumps and around steep berms. Then you come to the Spooky Forest which is just fantastic, you will ride over some north floor and a few small bridges very fast flowing.

Then its more single track mania eventually leading you back to the car park with a big smile on your face.

This trail is just fantastic and keeps you wanting more, You must go at least once.

Enjoy.

Fantastic. Just the ticket if long black grade routes are a little much for you.

Review:
This is an awesome route. Glentress Forest is well equipped in every aspect. Parking, bike hire, toilets, showers, cafe. It's all there.

At first you're faced with a steady climb on forest roads but don't worry because before long you find your self on the more interesting single track. The route reverts back to forest road at times leading you to the next section of single track action, and even criss-crosses with the black trail at times allowing you to choose between the two for a short time.

The best thing I thought was how each section not only had it's own name but a personality and appeal all of it's own too. Some bits are dark and rooty, others were wide open and full of burms, bomb holes, double jumps and table tops. It was like there was some thing to suit every one's taste. You never climb for long before you're once again zipping through twists and turns either so it's great for those who'll easily be sickened by seemingly never ending ascent, like kids. Also the action keeps you guessing. It's not obvious what's coming next and no bend or bump is the same which is really refreshing.

The only negative point I can think of is some of the trail is badly worn by the amount bikes locking up their back wheel before bends. This leaves a series of shallow holes in the area where you want smooth surface for braking. This is common on well used trails. It's a maintenance issue really. Every thing else is spot on.

Perfect red grade trail. Lacks the big drop offs and technical rocky sections of black grade trails and won't take all day to get round it.
