Summary:
Avoid at weekends!

Review:
Sherwood Pines is my local trail centre, only 15-20 mins from my house.

It has great facilities, bike shop, cafe which sell the BEST sausage rolls ever!, decent toilets and plenty of parking - excellent start!

There is a choice of 3 routes, green - family, blue - family, red - slightly more technical that the other two but nothing tricky. The signage for the routes isn't great meaning that a lot of people wander on to the routes, whether or not they are aware they are on bike only routes remains to be seen but watch out! I would suggest riding later in the day/evening and avoiding at weekends and school holidays.

There are some opportunities for 'off-roading' but generally the ground is boggy and boringly flat.

Serves a purpose but hardly exciting!

Summary:
Long and lots of variety!

Review:
A long trail which throws a variety of obstacles in your way. It's flows surprisingly well in many sections and there's plenty of bumps, roots, descents, climbs and burms to keep you on your toes. There's only a few drops and jumps which are easy to go around so this would makes it suitable for riders who are still building confidence. You'll be pretty knackered by the end of it too! So it's great for a work out as well.

Good fast flowing red

Review:
Well maintained trails the red is easy for a red but is fast flowing with a few tricky sections good for budding mtb riders but maybe a bit tame for the more experienced. Good facilities on site.
