Easy to park. Good facilities. Not particularly challenging, though a good place to practise before an event.

This place could be so much better!

The red run is ok but no real drops, step downs or proper technical sections.

The black run has been shot for like aggggges

There are some "off piste" sections which can be fun but don't flow that well, and other sections of off piste have been blocked or removed over time.

It's a shame as it could be really well developed. There are large sections of the forest that have been cut down for management and just stand unusable, and they don't seem to have any MTB events or racers there any more.

I know it comes down to money, time and resources. Just a shame it's not something more.

Please note, this review and this section is for the Skills track and Pump track, not the main section of Haldon cycle trails.

For a complete beginner, the skills area is quite good. There are some bumps to ride, three step downs of varying height, some balance sections, berms and even some step ups to practice (although you could miss these).

If you are more experienced, then this skills track offers nothing! I would like some bigger drop offs and some jumps to practice.

The pump track, to be fair I've not spent much time in here although i have just built a dirt jump bike as a project. Compared to other pump tracks I've seen online, the track looks a little underwhelming - the pumps don't seem that big and I think the track would be dependant on how much rain there's been.

There is plenty of land around Haldon Forest, please can we have some more skills areas!!

Good for all abilities, some very good off piste routes

Review:
It's a very good trail centre. I try to avoid weekends as it gets busy across all routes. However, get off piste and there are some very good trails. Not much in the way of rock garden types or huge downhill, but forest type trails which are fun. Some are easier to find than others, just explore

Review:
Only went here as i have not long moved down south and thought lets have a day out on the trail bike somewhere new. Ill admit there are plenty of blue routes to take which look an easy time for anyone who just wants a fun day out with nothing to serious to worry about on their ride while they enjoy the view and get started into MTB. The main red line at first i thought it wasn't going to be much good but soon as you drop back onto the fire road from the first section and blast off down the single track along the ridge, you can bank on it i changed my mind FAST. Great flow with a few bits dogging between the trees to keep you excited which was easy to get carried away with the speed. Over all the trails were nicely designed and only one major fire road climb kept me happy as you stay in the woods pretty much all the time. The only down side i had was it being a super busy weekend there, lots of people on the trails getting used to something more challenging which don't get me wrong i have nothing against at all as we all had to start somewhere, it was just the fact of that its quite tight and not many places you can pass people or they can pull into to let you so i spent most of my first loop just cruising but still great place id so go try it out if you close you won't regret it at all. Plus was super easy to find too.
