fun, fun, fun

Review:
the black route is total fun, unless your hardcore
got bitten by the beast at the top of a big dip, tree root and flint ate my front tyre and i took a header into the stinging nettles.
the alternative track around the beast is cool with a lot of nice humps and twists.
red route gets better by the week, apart from some very loose and well sharp flints
overall a great day out.
ps. watch out for the feckwit families who can't/ don't read
we nearly cleaned a whole tribe out last monday on the red run, they'd stopped with the kiddie trailer on the run and junior was squatting on his potty on the middle of the track.

Great trail in the sun

Review:
I've only ever done this track on near perfect days and i love it. Technical tracks interlaced with open aired XC, bomb hole stop offs, The Beast which you can do all day long, just a shame the Beast isn't longer.

Summary:
tougher and funner than expected

Review:
read that the thetford trails were easier than graded so expected the red route to be fairly easy

and a fair bit of it is

but the 'skills area' with its mini mini northshore and the new singletrack sections further round (swoopy bermy twisty stuff) make for a fun fast ride for more experienced riders that still even my totally noob wife (2 months riding and counting) could get through at a slower pace

Summary:
fun easy ride

Review:
rode this to extend the day after doing the red route

only one short section of singletrack - the rest is fire road type stuff on a variety of surfaces (watch out for the random deep sand sections ! )

has a little bit of gentle gradient but easy enough to get round for most riders and most machines from hybrids upwards

pleasant ride as a warm up / warm down for the red and black routes
