Summary:
Excellent in dry, but very hard work in wet

Review:
Due to a combination of roots , chalk and off camber, much of the trail becomes very tricky when wet, especially in the winter months.
When it dries however, its still technical due to the roots and camber, but becomes a lot faster, and the decents are a pleasure, althought he switchbacks could be reworked (far too tight). Steep hills make it a very good work out, and as hard as you want it to be.

Rubbish

Review:
This trail is called 'expert' but it is far from it, I would call it beginner, the only obstacles are roots. Hampshire County Council have recently built 8 switchbacks on a very small descent and some of them almost need you to come to a complete stop. The rest of the trail is very eroded and needs some serious maintenance/improvement. save yourself a pound on parking and go somewhere else!

worth calling in if you are an hour bed to bike.

Review:
Orange trail. This trail is fairly short so be prepared to do it 2-3 times to get a decent workout. note it has rained for 5 day before i went. The trails were good flowing single track but surface was not prepared it was masses of rooty sections that were tricky on ascents and decents. tricky little bermed dh section and off camber sections. the woodland surface was hardgoing due to it being sponge like. This trail could be improved with a little resurfacing (not too much) and an extra 10 miles!.

Good to keep you going if local

Review:
Good phys, some testing uphill leg and lung burners which include roots and loose stone. Not a busy trail, you can get some speed up over some varied single tracks with some tree trunks and rock you can play on. The switchbacks are ok and whole area is very usefull to train inexperianced riders. Good morning/afternoon out as long as the weather is decent.

Comprehensive

Review:
XC is well laid out varied and sign posted. DH runs are mainly fast and flowy, but technical in places, rooty and chalky. Main bonus of QE DH is that they last longer than most DH in the area.
